Terms of service

Last updated 4 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Lahja. By creating a workspace you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it.

1. What the service is

Lahja is a customer-service inbox that rewrites agent replies into a customer’s regional accent using AI, and delivers them through messaging channels you connect. It is a tool for your agents — it does not answer customers on its own.

2. Accounts

  • You are responsible for what happens under your accounts, including your agents’ actions.
  • Keep passwords and access tokens confidential. Tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.
  • You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country.

3. Your content

Your messages, customer data and brand rules remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store that content, and to send the text of a reply to our AI provider so it can be rewritten. We do not use it to train models and we do not sell it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Lahja to:

  • send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, or anything unlawful, deceptive or harassing;
  • impersonate another business or person;
  • break the rules of a connected platform — Meta’s messaging policies apply to your use of Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp through us;
  • attempt to access another workspace’s data, or probe or overload the service.

We may suspend a workspace that does these things, and will tell you why.

5. AI output

The accent transformation is generated by an AI model. It is normally accurate, but it can be wrong. Every reply is shown to an agent for review and can be edited before sending, and the text visible on screen at approval is exactly what is sent. You are responsible for what your agents approve. Do not rely on Lahja to produce legal, medical, financial or safety-critical wording without human checking.

6. Third-party platforms

Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp are operated by Meta and governed by Meta’s own terms. Their availability, message windows and policy decisions are outside our control. If a platform rejects a message — for example because more than 24 hours have passed since the customer’s last message — we show you the error rather than pretend the message was delivered.

7. Fees

Where a paid plan applies, fees and billing period are as agreed with you in writing. AI usage is metered per workspace and visible in your Reports at any time.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the service running and to keep backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance and provider outages happen. No specific uptime is guaranteed unless separately agreed.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Lahja and request deletion at any time — see Delete your data. We may end this agreement for a material breach of these terms, giving notice where reasonably possible.

10. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Lahja is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data beyond what a reasonable backup would have recovered. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to workspace owners by email, and the date above updated. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
